Fatima has been teaching for 10 years and just joined the Mathematics Department at Upper Canada College.  She has taught Grade 7, 8, 9 and 10 MYP math, Grade 11 IB Standard and Studies math, and Grade 12 IB Standard math which involves Data Management and Calculus. She endeavours to make her classroom one in which all of her students have the opportunity to succeed and she’s never afraid to have a little fun – whether it is a little snapping or quadratic aerobics, math class is rarely dull.

In addition to teaching Mathematics, Fatima has two other passions – coaching basketball and working with the Student Council. She gets the opportunity to support teamwork and fair play as well as student responsibility, spirit and leadership.

She has earned several degrees over her own educational career – an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from McMaster University, a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University and an Honours Specialist in Mathematics at OISE/UT. Fatima just finished her Master of Arts degree and completely understands the challenges of working and attending school.
